The digitalised business world is encroaching more and more on privacy. I know that responsible handling of your data is essential.

The following data protection information is intended to explain to you in an understandable, transparent and clear manner how I, Martin Althaus („I“, „me“), process your personal data in connection with your use of my website.

You can request information from me at any time and free of charge about what personal data I process or store about you.

You have the right to request that I correct or complete your data if it is not (or no longer) accurate or complete.

Right to cancellation

You have the right to request that I erase your personal data at any time. This right does not apply or only applies to a limited extent if

  • there is a legal obligation to retain your data or
  • I have an overriding right to store your data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request that the processing of data concerning you be restricted.

Right to the return of personal data

If I use your data on the basis of your consent, on the basis of a contract concluded with you or on the basis of automated procedures, you have the right to receive a copy of this data.

If and insofar as I process your personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, in particular when using your data in connection with direct marketing or profiling in connection with direct marketing, you are entitled to object to the processing at any time.

Right to withdraw consent

In cases where you have given me your consent to use your personal data, you have the right to withdraw this consent. Please inform me of your revocation by e-mail to martin.althaus@dralthaus.com.

Withdrawing your consent will stop the processing of your data, unless I am legally obliged to store it for a statutory retention period. However, the cancellation has no retroactive effect on the processing of your data in the past up to the time of receipt of the cancellation.

3. Right to lodge a complaint

In the event that you believe that I am not processing your data in accordance with this privacy policy or in accordance with applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority. This is the data protection authority in the country in which my registered office is located.

4. Provision of the data

Even if a transfer of data already takes place when you visit my website, you are generally not legally or contractually obliged to provide me with your personal data. However, if you wish to contact me further, I will need your data for this purpose, as otherwise it will not be possible for me to answer or process your enquiry.

5. Description of data processing on the websites and legal basis for processing

If you have consented to data processing, I process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR, insofar as special categories of data are processed in accordance with Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also carried out on the basis of Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or access to information in your end device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), the data processing is also carried out on the basis of Section 25 (1) of the GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is required for the fulfilment of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, I process your data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Furthermore, I process your data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR if this is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation.

Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of my legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Information on the relevant legal bases in each individual case is provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.

5.1 Recipients of the data

Data transfer to third parties cannot be completely prevented due to the processing purposes listed below, as tools from companies based in a third country (e.g. the USA) that is not secure under data protection law are used on my website. Therefore, the transfer of personal data to other European and non-European countries and the storage of data outside the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA) cannot be ruled out. No comparable level of data protection can be guaranteed in countries outside the EU. I have no influence on these processing activities.

Third-party service providers

I am authorised to commission third-party service providers bound by instructions to process personal data (e.g. IT service providers for the administration and maintenance of the website). During the provision of the respective service, the third-party service providers may access personal data. These service providers are therefore recipients within the meaning of the applicable data protection law, including the GDPR. No legal basis is required for disclosure to recipients bound by instructions.

Legal/judicial disclosure

In individual cases, personal data may be passed on to third parties (e.g. authorities, courts or other bodies) if I am legally or judicially obliged to do so. I have no influence on the further processing of the data by the respective third parties.

5.2 Personal data in the context of accessing the website

I process certain user-related information that is technically necessary to display this website. This includes, for example, information about your browser (including language and version), your operating system and its interface, your IP address, the date and time the website was accessed, the content of the access (which page was accessed), access status/http status code, amount of data transferred, previous website.

Since it is not technically possible to use the website without retrieving this data, there is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit f GDPR.

The website is hosted by IONOS SE („IONOS“), Eigendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The data collected on my website is stored on the host’s servers. The servers are located in Germany.

5.3 Contacting me by email or telephone

It is possible to contact me by e-mail. When you contact me, all the data you provide (in particular your email address, first and last name, text, subject and other information contained in the email) will be processed and stored by me. This serves the purpose of processing and answering your enquiry and establishing a possible business relationship.

You also have the option of contacting me by telephone. Here too, the data you send me (in particular your telephone number, first name and surname as well as enquiries or similar) will be processed and stored. The data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

The data transmitted in the context of the contact options listed above will only be stored for the period of processing your enquiry/contact.

6. Use of cookies

My Internet pages use so-called „cookies“. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you visit my website (third-party cookies). These enable me or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. displaying videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behaviour or display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions that you have requested (e.g. the display of videos) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); the consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

If cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, I will inform you about this separately in the context of this data protection declaration and, if necessary, request your consent.

7. SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to me as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from „http://“ to „https://“ and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to me cannot be read by third parties.

8. Linking of social media

I currently link to the following social media providers on my website

  • Xing
  • LinkedIn

In order to prevent unwanted data transfers, you will only be redirected to the respective pages when you click on the icons/symbols/links. I no longer have any influence on the data collected or the data processing of your data from the time of forwarding to one of the above-mentioned social media providers and have no knowledge of the scope of data collection, the purposes of processing or the storage periods. I also have no information about the deletion of the data by the respective providers, nor can I influence this.

By clicking on the social media buttons, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective social media provider. As a result, the respective provider is informed that you have visited my website. If you are not interested in this type of data transfer, I advise you not to click on the social media buttons.

9. Links

My website contains hyperlinks to other websites. By clicking/activating these, you will be forwarded directly to other websites. This changes the beginning of the URL from www.dralthaus.com to another.

I do not have the possibility to control or influence the data processing of these sites. The data protection regulations listed here also do not apply to these websites. To obtain information about data processing on the respective websites, please refer directly to these websites.
